Meet Peter Milligan
Peter Milligan, General Manager of Total Asset Solutions, is a highly experienced asset health, asset integrity and reliability professional with more than 20 years of industry experience across a broad range of industrial sectors.
Peter holds ISO 18436-7 Category 2 thermography certification and has extensive expertise across non-destructive testing (NDT), condition monitoring, asset reliability, inspection systems and personnel certification.
His experience extends well beyond field inspection and technical delivery. Peter has spent many years working with Australian and international standards relating to non-destructive testing, condition monitoring and personnel certification, including the implementation, management and oversight of certification systems aligned with ISO 9712, ISO 18436 and ISO/IEC 17024 requirements.
Peter is currently a Director of the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) and Secretary of the Australian Professional Thermography Association (AUSPTA), contributing directly to the ongoing development, professionalism and advancement of the NDT and thermography industries in Australia.
His broader industry experience has also included positions and involvement with both the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) and the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT), providing him with a strong understanding of both Australian and international approaches to certification, competency, technical standards and industry best practice.
This combination of technical expertise, industry leadership and standards knowledge enables Peter to bring far more than thermal imaging to each inspection. His focus is on understanding how assets operate, recognising developing conditions, interpreting inspection data accurately and providing practical information that supports safer, more reliable and more effective maintenance decisions.
